Signature block
Also: signature page · signatures
The signature block is the page of a Form 10-K where the company and its officers sign. General Instruction D requires the report to be signed "on behalf of the registrant by its principal executive officer or officers, its principal financial officer or officers, its controller or principal accounting officer, and by at least the majority of the board of directors." The name of each signer "shall be typed or printed beneath his signature," and a person in more than one position "shall indicate each capacity in which he signs the report." CFO Tribune's roster takes the CFO from this page: the signer's own conformed signature must carry the principal financial officer or chief financial officer title.
