EDGAR
Also: Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval
EDGAR, the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval system, is in the SEC's words "the primary system for companies and others submitting documents under the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Trust Indenture Act of 1939, and the Investment Company Act of 1940." The SEC adds that anyone "can access and download this information for free." Every record on CFO Tribune links to the filing on sec.gov it was read from. The filings desk reads EDGAR's feed of new Form 8-K filings, and the roster desk reads each company's latest Form 10-K there.
